  • Support for initiatives that promote racial equality in society;
  • Engagement of team members in institutional actions focused on valuing ethnic and racial diversity.

Description

GPAzeviche promotes racial diversity and equity in the workplace and in society, encouraging the development of relationships based on respect and free from any form of discrimination. Its purpose is to ensure that all individuals feel valued and respected, regardless of their ethnic or racial background, through educational initiatives, awareness efforts, and ongoing dialogue on inclusion and racial equality.

2024

 Book Club

Goulart Penteado Advogados held a new edition of its Book Club, featuring the reading and discussion of Small Anti-Racist Handbook by Djamila Ribeiro. The initiative promoted meaningful reflections on structural racism, social responsibility, and anti-racist practices, encouraging dialogue and awareness within the corporate environment.

The meeting included the participation of 13 team members, reinforcing GPA’s commitment to education, diversity, and the development of a more inclusive and conscious organizational culture.

Birth of Luiz Gama

Social media publication honoring the legacy of Luiz Gama, an emblematic figure in the struggle for freedom, racial equality, and the defense of the rights of Black people in Brazil, reinforcing GPA’s commitment to promoting racial equity, social justice, and the preservation of historical memory.

 Birth of Nelson Mandela

Commemoration of the birth of Nelson Mandela, a global icon in the fight for racial equality and social justice in South Africa and the country’s first democratically elected president. The date was marked by an institutional social media post, reinforcing GPA’s commitment to racial equity, human rights, and the appreciation of historical leaders who transformed society.

Lecture “The Challenges of Racial Inclusion in the Labor Market”

Organization of a special talk with Robson de Oliveira, a recognized specialist in diversity and inclusion, who shared relevant insights on the challenges faced by Black individuals in the labor market. The lecture promoted reflections on more inclusive institutional practices and pathways toward building more welcoming, equitable, and racially committed professional environments.

OAB-SP Inclusion and Employability Fair

Participation by Goulart Penteado Advogados in the OAB-SP Inclusion and Employability Fair, offering employment and internship opportunities. The initiative reinforced the law firm’s commitment to promoting diversity, racial inclusion, and expanding access to the legal market for professionals and students from diverse backgrounds.

Latin American and Caribbean Black Women’s Day

In celebration of the International Day of Latin American and Caribbean Black Women and the National Day of Tereza de Benguela, GPA welcomed speaker Roberta Camargo, who led an enriching reflection on the historical and social significance of these dates and the impact of Black women on the construction of society.

Book Club

Discussion of the book The Reverse Side of the Skin by Jeferson Tenório, addressing themes such as structural racism, identity, social inequality, and human relationships. The meeting encouraged critical reflections and dialogue among team members on social responsibility, empathy, and racial inclusion.

 National Black Awareness Day / Zumbi dos Palmares

In tribute to Zumbi dos Palmares, GPA marked National Black Awareness Day as a moment of reflection and awareness, reinforcing that combating racism requires continuous action, active listening, and courage. The initiative reaffirms the law firm’s commitment to promoting racial equity, social justice, and the preservation of historical memory.

Afro-Latin American and Caribbean Women’s Day

In celebration of Afro-Latin American and Caribbean Women’s Day, members of the group produced an educational video with information about the date and its historical relevance. The initiative was complemented by an interactive, competition-based activity that encouraged engagement among team members, with awards for the top three participants. The action reinforced GPA’s commitment to valuing Black women, racial equity, and promoting knowledge as a tool for social transformation.

Book Club

Discussion of the book Child of the Dark by Carolina Maria de Jesus, which exposes the invisibility of Black and impoverished populations in Brazil and prompts deep reflections on social inequality, structural racism, and individual and collective responsibility. The meeting encouraged critical dialogue and a careful examination of individual behaviors and institutional practices.
